Thyme de Provence, or "summer thyme," is a popular perennial herb known for its culinary, medicinal, and ornamental uses. With its tiny, soft, gray-green leaves and small, pink flowers, thyme de Provence is more flavorful than common thyme and the preferred option in authentic French cuisine. In fact, it's the main ingredient in the famous Herbes de Provence blend, as well as the bouquet garni—a bundle of tied herbs used to flavor soups and stews. However, thyme can also be found beyond the "cooking" section of the library. It has long been an important ingredient in folk medicine and is frequently listed in spell manuals.
