Erich Wellhöfer's screen print "Absinthe" in the edition rikiki.

The Melody Bar in Düsseldorf: an institution in cocktail and nightlife. Erich Wellhöfer and his wife Heidi not only stood behind the bar for 22 years, mixing countless drinks, but also designed a wealth of "advertisements for liquor and music." Small collages, photocopied into large-format posters, bearing Erich's signature and a few impressions from his stamp collection, advertise classic alcoholic beverages as well as his own creations – and remained in very small editions, ranging from individual items to a handful. Nevertheless, they have become well-known throughout the bar and the city, and lucky are those who have seized an opportunity and picked one up.

Together with Erich, we have produced five of these posters as screen-printed editions.

The "Absinthe" and the "Bloody Mary" are slim portrait formats of 36 × 96 cm (14.2 × 37.8"). "Beuys & Girls", "French" and the "Speculant" are landscape formats of 66 × 96 cm (26 × 37.8").
