Ceiling lamp with handwoven lampshade
Bonbon Shade is a family of handwoven lampshades that walk the line between art and design.
Inspired by her drawings, Ana Kraš's Bonbon Shades are handwoven using traditional techniques to create textured, unique pieces that stand alone as powerful decorative objects, even when the lights are off. In Ana's collaboration with HAY, each shade is handwoven using nylon wool yarn around a powder-coated steel frame, creating one-of-a-kind lampshades, and each one is slightly different in appearance and surface aesthetic.
The cable sets of the lamps are available separately and in two versions: a table / floor version with inline rocker switch and a pendant version for ceiling lights. Both versions can be used with the two different lampshade sizes and come without a bulb.
Production: The lamp is hand-woven using an original weaving technique around a spot-welded, powder-coated steel frame. The entire production takes place in Europe.
