With NEW MODERN, the French company TIPTOE has developed a modular table system that, with its different sizes, shapes and surfaces, can be used anywhere: as a desk or meeting table, as a dining table, or in the kitchen. NEW MODERN is available in a variety of sizes and shapes - from a desk for one person to an XXL dining table for up to 12 people.
A NEW MODERN table consists of two table legs made of powder-coated steel, which are connected to a stable table frame with two stainless steel struts. The larger formats also have a cross brace for additional stability.
As with all furniture designs, TIPTOE has designed the NEW MODERN table system with a radical focus on sustainability, durability, functionality and timelessness. The aim is always to develop products with the smallest possible impact on the environment, in every step of production and life cycle.
The wood used for the table surfaces comes from sustainable forestry (PEFC or FSC certified). The core of the table top is solid pine wood veneered with oak. Only water-based varnishes are used.
The table legs and cross braces are made of steel, an extremely durable and recyclable material (steel is actually the most recycled material currently available). Here too, as few components as possible are used, all of which are robust and easy to repair or replace if necessary. By delivering in flat packages, the environmental impact during transport and storage is kept as small as possible. The packaging material consists of at least 80% recycled paper.
TIPTOE relies on 100% European manufacturing: the NEW MODERN table tops are made in Poland, the table legs in Bulgaria. All mechanical parts are manufactured in TIPTOE's own family business in France, near Chamonix. The final assembly of the products takes place in a French "ESAT", a sheltered center whose mission is to promote and develop the social and professional integration of people with disabilities.
