Games for Grown-Ups from the School of Life contains 40 activities that will challenge us and our friends to imaginatively get in touch with the otherwise hidden aspects of ourselves.

We're used to thinking of good conversation as the glue that holds friendships together - but we shouldn't forget the value of playing games with the same spirit of fun and adventure we once developed as children.

Here is a card game with forty activities to distract us from static conversations. Among other things, we will build a fort together, dance in surprising ways, give eulogies, practice our acting skills and play some fun (but friendly) pranks. The games are an invitation to shed our reserve and get in touch with the neglected imaginative aspects of ourselves. They remind us that friendship is not just about conversations, but also about lighthearted but meaningful shared play.
